Loeries awards trophies

The entries are in, the judges have taken stock, but the final results will be a closely guarded secret until the awards festival begins in Cape Town from September 25-27.

With less than two months to go, it’s time to plan your party schedule in South Africa’s most beautiful city.

The highly experienced, international panel members judging the Loeries this year were full of praise for this year’s entries, commenting on how uniquely South African they were.

The judges did reveal some details in an interview with The Marketing Site.Com.

Matt Shirtcliffe, the Loeries experiential jury chairman and a founding partner at Saatchi and Saatchi DGS New Zealand, said in the interview, “What I enjoyed the most was seeing work unique to the country but executed to world standards.”

The Loeries design jury chairman and co-founder of Hat-trick Design, Jim Sutherland, said the entries were better than he expected. “I have been very impressed by the professional way the Loeries and the judging process is run as well as the importance the judges attach to scrutinising and judging the entries.”
