Loeries introduces social responsibility category

The Loerie Awards has launched a new category, the Ubuntu Award, sponsored by Hetzner, to recognise the positive influence of brands on our social and physical environment.

The judges are looking for brands that have gone the extra mile to improve South Africans’  quality of life, be it through community services, or protecting and enhancing our living space.

To be eligible for the Ubuntu Award, entries must: demonstrate a positive social or environmental impact on behalf of a brand; be appropriate to the business of the brand and reflect an active and ongoing campaign that took place over the period June 1 2009, to May 31 2010.

The campaign may have started prior to this date, but must have still been running during this eligibility period.
