Loeries Weekend Hits Cape Town!

If your Twitter timeline is not flooded with the #Loeries hashtag yet it will be soon as Loeries Weekend hits Cape Town in a big way from today until Sunday! The top creatives in the country will this weekend be rewarded for their hard work and dedication as the creative awards honour excellence in creativity.

Ladies and Gentlemen of creative-loving #LoveCapeTown, the nominees for the Loeries Awards 2013 from Saturday 21 to Sunday 22 September, 2013 are in!

We’re sure by now, you’ve registered at City Hall and pick up your fabulous swag bag with all of its delicious goodies, and that the more adventurous amongst you have shown just how much you adore the premier creative event of the year by getting inked (if not, stop by the Film and Media stand for your free tattoo… your Loeries tat gives you an all access pass to every party this weekend).

For a full list of this year’s finalists, visit the Loeries website.

Almost as important as the actual Awards Ceremony is the extensive list of after parties, hosted all over the city by the Loerie Awards and agencies alike. The weekend is set to be non-stop celebrations as the who’s who of the creative industry get together to celebrate their successes.

The After Parties:

This year sees an exciting digital innovation with the launch of the official partner app; WeChat. By simply downloading the app and entering a keyword, you can find all the information you need. For example, type the word “shimmy” to find information on the official after party, including a map and full contact details.

All the info you could possibly need (including the inside scoop on all the after parties) for the Loeries can be found on the Loeries Official Account on WeChat.

How to connect:

1. Download WeChat for free from www.wechat.com
2. Create your WeChat profile and add your friends
3. Add Loeries as a contact: “Loeries” WeChat ID
4. Receive all the latest Loerie news and stand a chance to win awesome daily prizes just by signing up

The Loeries are hosted in Cape Town every third year, and this year the organisers aimed to make full use of the city’s infrastructure by creating a village within the city. From City Hall to the CTICC, Long Street and The V&A Waterfront, the Loeries Village is no doubt going to be the center of attention this weekend.

We're holding thumbs for our own My Cape Town Holiday campaign!
