It was all about style and sophistication on the the red carpet as nominees and guests arrived at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) tonight, September 17, for the first night of the Loerie Awards 2011. The Loerie Awards encompass all areas of brand communication including television, radio and print, communication design, direct marketing, public relations, non-broadcast video, live events, sponsorship, digital communication and integrated campaigns.
It was all about “Lights, camera, action!” on the red carpet at the CTICC.

A big highlight of the awards ceremony was the presence of Riaan Cruywagen as MC. Tongues have been wagging since the Loeries Awards’ promotional video, featuring Cruywagen “in a jacuzzi”, has been making the rounds. The crowd erupted with cheers when he came on stage. Suave and charming as ever, Cruywagen was the consummate host and a very creative choice indeed.
