Lazy seals – Flickr pic of the day

This lovely picture of seals playing in the sea at Sea Point was taken by our Cape Town. Live it. Love it. group member Murmel Clausen.

Murmel says, “I’m a screenwriter from Germany. I came down to Cape Town to get away from the snow and was struck by the intensity of the light you have down there. It’s unbelievably bright.

“I saw the two seals relaxing like thalassotherapeutic patients in the Dead Sea, when I was on a boat trip to Camps Bay.

“I’ll come back not only for the steak at Nelson’s Eye, the exceptional sushi at Willoughby’s and the great service at Blues, but mainly to see more of the city, the people and the beautiful surroundings,” he adds.

Boat charters and other water-based sports and activities are not in short supply in the Mother City. Visitors can sail, or enjoy sunset cruises, ecojet-ski trips, sea-kayaking, diving and deep sea fishing. Tel: +27 21 487 6800.
