Kirstenbosch Winter Concerts – music to warm you

There is no better way to spend a winter Sunday evening in Cape Town than at the hugely popular Kirstenbosch Winter Warmer concerts.

Relax with a glass of fine Cape wine and enjoy the friendly atmosphere as you watch Cape Town’s top musical talent in one of the most beautiful settings that the Mother City has to offer – a very special experience.

Unlike the summer concerts, which are held on the sloping lawns of the botanical gardens, the winter concerts take place in the lovely Silvertree Restaurant – a much cosier setting in the colder months. But make sure you come a little early and take a stroll through the gardens to take in the breathtaking setting.

As the concerts are very popular, it’s important that you get tickets early to avoid disappointment. The concerts are from 18h00 to 20h30.

The new season of Kirstenbosch Winter Warmer concerts runs from Sunday May 7 to October 29, 2009.

Tickets are available from the Silvertree Restaurant (Tel: +27 21 762 9585). They cost R81 for Botanical Society members and R90 for non-members.
