Jazzathon rocks Cape Town
The event, which is in its 13th year, attracts roughly 50 000 people every year.
The festival is free to the public and this year’s programme included a variety of workshops, including drum circles and dance workshops at various venues.
There were 25 live performances from artists and bands including the Cape Jazz Orchestra and South African Music Awards winner Judith Sephuma, who headlined Friday’s line-up.
The event was made possible by a generous grant from the provincial government, and has become a highlight of the annual calendar in Cape Town.
