#Instagram Diary: Cape Town Tourism and Tsogo Sun’s Mandela Day Soup Kitchen

In the spirit of spreading the charitable love on Mandela’s Day, Cape Town Tourism teamed up with leading hotel chain Tsogo Sun’s Southern Sun Cape Sun to host a soup kitchen at the Central Methodist Mission Church on Greenmarket Square, Thursday 18 July, 2013.

Cape Town Tourism and Tsogo Sun's Southern Sun Cape Sun joined forces to distribute soup to the homeless on Mandela Day, Thursday 18 July, 2013.

The event saw staff members of the two organisations distribute cups of soup and rolls to more than 100 homeless Capetonians on the chilly day in honour of iconic former president Nelson Mandela.

The soup kitchen was just one of a multitude of Mandela Day events being hosted in Cape Town.
