Hout Bay – Now and Then

Continuing our feature on what Cape Town looked like 50 years ago compared to what it looks like today, we turn our sights on the Sentinel in Hout Bay.

Fifty years ago the hillside was still undeveloped, with few buildings on its slopes. It’s a sharp contrast today as a community has been built there.
