Hout Bay blues – Flickr pic of the day
Corrie says, “I’m from Tzaneen, a large town situated in the Mopani district of the Limpopo province in South Africa. I recently visited Cape Town with my brother; we both have a passion for photography.
“Our time was limited, so we decided to visit Hout Bay because of its rich variety of photographic opportunities.
“The town lies picturesquely in a wind-protected bay, surrounded by an amphitheatre of mountains. Hout Bay has a wonderful atmosphere, and a lovely swimming beach and harbour.
“It is the centre of the crayfish and snoek fishing industry and its fishing harbour gives the little coastal town a lively atmosphere.
“Hout Bay is the place to indulge in the best fresh fish and chips in the whole of the Western Cape! It is a real treat to sit outside in the open and informal area at the docks with seagulls scavenging, if you let them. You can have an enormous amount of fun playing with your camera.
“Hout Bay’s beauty is unforgettable!” she adds.
Do you have images of Cape Town you’d like to share with us? We’d love you to join the Cape Town. Live it. Love it. Flickr group!
