Green Point pier – Flickr pic of the day
Sean says, “I’m a Johannesburg-based amateur photographer who works for a Cape Town-based software development company. I am therefore lucky enough to visit Cape Town on a monthly basis and on every trip I make sure I pack my camera.
“Cape Town offers such a wealth of photographic opportunities due to the diverse cultures, interesting architecture, and breathtaking scenery. I always make the time after work to get out and take some interesting photos.
“On this particular trip to Cape Town, the only chance I had to take photos was after work on a Friday afternoon. I drove around Sea Point and Green Point, coming across this concrete pier structure just in time for a typically beautiful Cape Town sunset. It was almost the only photo I managed to get on this trip.”
Green Point doesn’t only provide beautiful sunsets; it is also the home of the Cape Town 2010 stadium, so it will soon to be the most visited area of Cape Town.
