The inaugural Gay and Lesbian Wedding Show at the Grand Daddy Hotel in the City Centre from October 29 to 30 was a resounding pink success.
From expert gay wedding planners (Pink Confetti) and stationery extraordinaire (The Fairy Factory) to thrilling honeymoon package providers (White Shark Diving Co) and luxury accommodation providers (Protea Hotel Stellenbosch), there were plenty of wedding service providers ready and able to help engaged same-sex couples plan their special day.
Says Denver Breda, creator of the Gay and Lesbian Wedding Show: “I want to see the gay wedding market grow. This event is an opportunity to educate the mainstream community about gay marriage and start a conversation about its importance.”
