It’s alive! Whisky drinking culture, that is, as well as this annual event, which takes even the most seasoned Scotch swiggers by surprise. You’re bound to fall in lust at the FNB Whisky Live Festival, even if you’ve never been successfully wooed by whisky before. The event is great fun for both connoisseurs and “taste tourists”, there for the free tipple and increasingly friendly conversation.
Happening at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from November 3 to 5 (from 18h00 to 22h00 daily), the FNB Whisky Live Festival has a range of tickets on offer to suit every predilection. Prices start at R180 (per person, which includes tasting and food vouchers) and go all the way up to R520 per person (for the Lexus Connoisseur’s Experience).
Learn how to make whisky cocktails, do comparative tastings, find out more about maturation and meet representatives from some of the world’s leading whisky houses, like Glenmorangie and Johnnie Walker, and meet a master brewer or two.
For more information, visit the FNB Whisky Live Festival website. All tickets are available through WebTickets.
