Flying over the Mother City – A Cape Town Tourism photo essay
Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities to live in and it is surrounded by some of the most amazing scenery in the world. Last weekend, I was lucky enough to see some of this scenery from above, specifically from the front seat of a helicopter run by Civair. Here are a few pictures of the False Bay coast that you don’t always see.

A high definition photo of the helicopter that took me around my aerial trip of Cape Town. I had a fantastic trip, Civair looked after me wonderfully, and if you ever get the opportunity, it is worth every cent!

Simon’s Town: In the front is the naval dockyard, with the yacht basin on the left. The ship moored right in the middle is a retired cable-restoring vessel HMS Bullfrog, which is also great for wedding receptions!

The Muizenberg village is on the left, and you can see the mouth of Zandvlei (the lake) on the right.

I used to love catching the train to St James to play on the beach and swim in the tidal pool. It still has the brightly coloured beach houses, and is very busy in summer.

Here is another shot of Zandvlei ,with the Muizenberg mountains in the distance.
