Sea Point – Flickr pic of the day
Lee says: “This shot was taken in Three Anchor Bay, around the corner from Sea Point, close to the well-known red-and-white striped lighthouse.
I used a 15mm fish-eye lens on a full-frame camera to capture as much of this scene as possible. I often shoot with wide angle lenses and I’m obsessed with panoramic photography. Cape Town is the ideal location for such an interest as there is beauty all around you wherever you go.
I have lived in Newlands for a number of years and I’m currently a UCT student. Newlands is on the other side of the mountain from Cape Town and is in my opinion one of the most spectacular areas of Cape Town – right up close to the mountain and full of lush, green forests.
There is so much in Cape Town that I dare not leave the house without my camera. I enjoy car trips and sticking my camera out the window and shooting away. My two favourite scenic stretches of road are Chapman’s Peak Drive, linking Noordhoek to Hout Bay, and Helshoogte Road, linking Stellenbosch to Franschhoek.”
