Fazielah’s top three weekday picks for July 9 to 12,2012
Fazielah Williams has lived in and loved her Mother City since birth. Having lived all over the Peninsula during her childhood, she now calls the picturesque City Bowl home and likes nothing more than watching the sun set over Table Bay from the window of her apartment.
A lover of the arts and proud Cape Town fanatic, Fazielah began her writing career by spending many hours as a child conjuring fantastical stories that featured independent heroines from faraway lands who saved the Prince instead. This Capetonian princess has enjoyed stints as a magical arts PRO and TV publicist before finding her calling as a travel writer.
When not waxing lyrical about the Fairest Cape’s most loved attractions and activities and embarking on unexpected adventures, Fazielah can usually be found taking in a show at one of the City’s fabulous theatres.
If the cold weather has kept you indoors and given you chills down your spine all weekend, you simply must join me at the following events from July 9 to 12, for some warm winter fun this week:
Get your temperatures soaring with the Artscape Theatre’s latest production, Burn the Floor.
This ballroom spectacular is a Broadway phenomenon and is sure to get your body moving. Think toned dancers, dramatic costumes and sexy Latin moves …

As a girl with a healthy appetite, I’m always on the lookout for tasty, affordable food.
Sinn’s at Wembley Square offers the best of both with its gourmet R55 lunch specials, or my personal favourite, half-price pasta between 17h00 and 18h30.

It's the last week of the holidays but there is still so much for you and your little ones to do at the V&A Waterfront.
From pancake baking to animal petting and creative recycling, it's non-stop fun at the city's premier shopping mall.
