Fall about laughing at the Vodacom Funny Festival
Tickle your funny bones this winter at the 5th Annual Vodacom Funny Festival, from July 15-19 at the Baxter Theatre’s Concert Hall.
It’s local, it’s lekker, it’s affordable (R120 per person) and best of all, it’s just around the corner.
Even more reason to smile: Cape Town Tourism has tickets and a bottle of Cape Town’s finest wine for two couples. To enter, leave a joke in the comment box under this post.
So come rain or shine – it doesn’t matter because this show of world-class talent is indoors and a perfect opportunity to unwind.
Marc Lottering, the Mother City’s favourite son, will be master of ceremonies again. Other highlights include the sharp-witted Tumi Morake from Gauteng, US mind reader and magician John Lenahan, top South African comedian Nik Rabinowitz, and – from Tokyo – Gamarjobat, a hilarious physical comedy duo who will transcend what you think you know about clowning, magic and mime.
Shows start at 20h00 from Monday to Friday, at 17h00 and 20h00 on Saturday and at 20h00 on Sunday July 19.

The Vodacom Funny Festival is the only comedy project in the city with Official Event status and carries the Cape of Great Events insignia.
