The South Africa Chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation, a global network made up of 7 500 business owners in 38 countries, met at the BMW Pavillion in the V&A Waterfront from November 10 until today.
Speakers at the Cape Town event so far have included Nando’s co-founder Robert Brozin; poet, presenter and producer Lebogang Mashile; and British swimmer Lewis Gordon Pugh, who was recently named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. The conference also showcased Capetonian entrepreneurs such as Ravi Naidoo of the Design Indaba and sports science specialist Tim Noakes.
Bloggers from the suckthemarrow.co.za tweeted from the event: “Brilliant keynote speech by Ravi Naidoo, showcasing SA to 350 global entrepreneurs, he had me in tears of pride.” Design Indaba echoed similar sentiments about Noakes’ speech: “(most) interesting take on sports I have heard in a long time, absolutely fascinating.”
Attendees were taken to popular township hangout Mzoli’s Place in Gugulethu, where they enjoyed grilled meat and a few cold beers.
