Eggciting Easter activities in Cape Town

There are so many things to do in Cape Town this Easter. Everything from special lunches to Easter Egg hunts for the kids. Here’s how to make the most of this holiday in Cape Town.

Easter Egg Hunt on Table Mountain

The Easter Bunny, the Easter Fairy and the Mad Hatter will all be on Table Mountain for a cool egg hunt from 10h00 to 13h00 on Easter Sunday, 5 April. There will be clues to be solved, a sweet tea to be shared with the Mad Hatter and much more!

Easter at the 12 Apostles

The luxurious 12 Apostles will host a buffet lunch on Easter Sunday at its Azure Restaurant. For the kids, there will be an Easter egg hunt, while a special Easter high tea will be served all weekend from 3 to 5 April. Booking is essential.

Easter weekend at the One&Only

This Waterfront-based hotel kicks off the Easter weekend on Good Friday with a seafood feast at both Reuben’s and Nobu. Special menus will be on offer for the evening. Other Easter weekend happenings include the Easter Bunny Afternoon Tea Table where there will be Easter themed cakes. On Easter Sunday, guests at the afternoon tea get a handmade golden Easter egg. The hotel’s Easter egg hunt starts at 15h00 on Easter Sunday, while there will also be an Easter egg decorating party. This and so much more at the One&Only this Easter.

Easter weekend at the Taj Hotel

The Taj will have its traditional Easter jazz lunch at Mint Restaurant. There will be a live saxophonist to entertain diners and the chef’s Easter specials such as sweet-hot plum-glazed ham, honey-curry glazed lamb and Lexington-style grilled chicken. There is also an Easter afternoon tea with delights such as cinnamon hot cross buns, ginger cheese cake and more! There are also various specials at the Taj’s Jiva Spa.

Easter weekend at the V&A Waterfront

The Easter Bunny will be at the V&A Waterfront on Friday 3 April and Sunday 5 April. Get there at midday for a meet-and-greet, face painting, photo opportunities, Easter egg decorating and much more. All for free.

Easter at the Lindt Studio

What kid wouldn’t want to hang out at a chocolate studio and make Easter eggs? Lindt Chocolate at the Cape Quarter is having a kids’ class on Saturday 4 April where the young ones can decorate a pre-made Easter Bunny. They will be helped and shown around by the Lindt chocolatiers before the class.

Lindt chocolates will set up its Gold Bunny Magical Garden at Col’Cacchio Court, Cavendish Square on 27, 28 and 29 March. Take the kids to hunt for the gold bunny and you could walk away with great prizes!
