Well-known models and celebrities will be taking to the stage at the CTICC just before the England vs Algeria match this Friday to showcase a stunning collection of haute couture from local designer Hendrik Vermeulen.
International DJ Dino Moran will be presenting DJ Couture, a fusion of house music and fashion, composed especially for the occasion and performed live on the stage and projected around the arena on 8-metre screens.
Celebrity appearances from top South African actress, Vanessa Haywood (District 9), Vanessa Marawa (Survivor Africa’s first winner), Robyn Smith (eTV news anchor and award-winning journalist) and Rouxmia Bougas (FHM swimwear model) will join others as the music and lights give way to some extraordinary South African designer wear.
The collection consists of exquisite cocktail wear, chunky fur coats and fabulous evening dresses suitable for any red carpet occasion.
The distinguished jewellery collection is being made for the occasion by MDJ (Modern Design Jewellery), with shoes by Errol Arendz, and hair and make-up by The Make-Up Issue.
“We can’t wait to showcase our new collection,” says Vermeulen. “We’ve already spent evenings in the venue, and the atmosphere has been fantastic. We’re really looking forward to a great evening of fashion, sport and entertainment.”
