Coda concert live at Wembley Square in Cape Town

Coda (from left): Judy, Zami, Carol and Galina.

On Friday, September 18, one of South Africa’s hottest fusion bands brought its talents to Cape Town’s upmarket Wembley Square, playing live in the atrium for everyone to enjoy.

Cape Town ensemble Coda put on the free concert, with sponsorship from Cape Town Tourism and Wembley Square. Verity and The Shades also featured in the line-up, adding some fresh sounds to the show.

Official diski dance instructors made for a lively addition to the show. Their energy quickly had the crowd learning the moves to the 2010 diski dance, backed by the Coda hit Blow Your Vuvuzela, which is fast becoming Cape Town’s unofficial anthem to the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Those who were at Wembley Square for dinner were treated to the free concert, while those leaving the gym would gladly have traded their sports gear and water bottles for more formal attire and a fruity cocktail!

With vuvuzelas blowing, music pumping, the crowd dancing and cocktails flowing, a great evening was had by all in true Live it. Love it. LOUDER! style.
