Club ZAR, exclusive and luxurious creation of businessman Kenny Kunene, opened in the Mother City on Monday, February 14. Guests started arriving at 8pm and the party officially started at 10pm, opened by Kunene himself.
The new ZAR is situated at the Cape Royale Hotel, with its sister venue gracing the top floor of the new Radisson Blu Hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg – the scene of a recent party featuring scantily clad models as human sushi platters.
“The opening was a huge success – it was hectic!” enthused ZAR guest and entrepreneur Zithulele Dlamini. Kunene has become well-known for his decadent parties and the Cape Town ZAR launch was no exception.
Each table in the glamorous red-lit venue had an 18-year-old bottle of Chivas on it, while GH Mumm champagne was flowing. Guests were entertained by singer Collilecia Hawka, introduced by Kunene as the first artist to be represented by him in his new role as record executive.
If you’re looking to rub shoulders with celebrities in an exquisite venue, ZAR won’t disappoint.
