Carols by candlelight attracts thousands to Kirstenbosch

Carols by candlelight, held at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden from Thursday to Sunday, concluded with last night’s gathering of around 6 000 people.
There wasn’t an uncovered blade of grass in the concert area, as families, friends and visitors gathered to sing carols, waves candles, and take in views of Devil’s Peak.
The singing was led by the Cape Town Male Voice Choir, and classics such as Jingle Bells, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and We Wish You a Merry Christmas filled the air.
The event was organised by the Rotary Club of Kirstenbosch, who raised a substantial amount of money for charity with the support of Pick n Pay and everyone who attended.
Don’t miss this event in 2011 – it really is a festive season experience like no other.
