Cape Town’s top pink places to stay
Known by many as the Pink Capital of South Africa, Cape Town is well-known for its vibrant gay scene.
In 2011, Out Now Consulting, an agency that provides gay and lesbian marketing strategy, announced Cape Town as one of its Top Twenty LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) Holiday Cities World-wide. Recently, the UK’s Guardian recognised Cape Town as one of the 10 most popular gay destinations in the world, and the US publication, Out and About, named the Mother City a world-wide favourite.
With awe-inspiring natural scenery, world-class luxury and countless gay-friendly guesthouses, bars, restaurants and coffee shops in neighbourhoods such as Green Point, Sea Point, De Waterkant and Somerset West, it’s not hard to see why Cape Town is fast becoming a favourite destination among "pink" travellers.
