Cape Town surfing – Flickr pic of the day
Anyone who has been on one of the many beautiful beaches in Cape Town will tell you that the beaches are a large part of what makes the Mother City so special. Scott Martin aka stickyak8, our Cape Town. Live it. Love it. group member who captured this image of boys surfing, would agree.
Scott says, “On a warm summer’s afternoon in Cape Town I received a brown envelope, officially stamped with the emblem of Home Affairs. I had acquired my first passport. That same month I finished high school and my dreams of travelling were becoming reality. The race was on. I was off to fill up the pages of my little green book with all sorts of stamps before the expiration date arrived. Needless to say, I won the race and now have a maxi passport.
“The world became my canvas and a camera my tool. Though I have had countless bizarre, wondrous, and extraordinary experiences while travelling, I love returning to Cape Town for the summer months. It’s filled with such extreme contrasts of sounds, sights, colours, tastes and moods. The people here are filled with expression and excitement solely about living in, and I can attest to this, one of the most beautiful places on Earth,” he continues.
