Spectators arrive at the magnificent stadium

A total of 40 000 people arrived at the stadium for the historic event. A free shuttle service to the stadium from the Civic Centre gave spectators the option of not having to drive to the stadium.

The crowd really came to life during the match, and a Mexican wave circulated the stadium within the first few minutes of the match, before local fans began chanting “Here we go Stormers, here we go!”

Comments

Fantastic day at the Stadium.  Transport there from Hertzog Boulevard was excellent, just a pity that the day was spoiled by the disorganised return trip - too many chiefs and not enough indians!
