Cape Town invites you to enter a zone of poetry and song

On Sunday August 30 at 19h00 prepare to switch off your mobile and engage your right brain as you enter a zone of poetry and song in performance, featuring two exciting spoken word artists.

Local poet Simric Yarrow has a background as a jazz musician, actor and story-teller.

Visiting from the UK, Seni Seneviratne is a widely acclaimed poet and live artist of English and Sri Lankan heritage. While in Cape Town, she has performed at the Badilisha Poetry Festival, Off the Wall, The Book Lounge and District Six Museum. Her debut collection, Wild Cinnamon and Winter Skin, published in March 2007 by Peepal Tree Press, will be on sale along with a CD of poetry and song.

Don’t miss this event at Organics Alive, Palmer Rd, Muizenberg.

There is no set entrance fee, but R50 is recommended. 10% of proceeds will go to charity.

Organic food and drinks will be on sale.
