Cape Town film-maker’s psychic phenomena documentary on at Labia

Something Unknown is Doing We Don’t Know What… is an award-winning documentary by film-maker and Cape Town resident Renée Scheltema which will be screened daily at 18h15 until September 3, 2009 at the Labia.

The film explores the “Big Five” psychic phenomena – precognition, telepathy, clairvoyance, psychokinesis and healing – and to what extent these can be explained by science.

The title of the documentary is a quote from Sir Arthur Eddington, a quantum physicist who argued that modern physics could open up new ideas on individual spiritual experiences.

Viewers may start thinking about phenomena like telepathy and precognition in a new way as Scheltema uses scientific explanations to demonstrate that “something unknown” is part of our inherent nature.

The film won a Special Jury Award at the Arizona International Film Festival.

Something Unknown will be shown at Labia on Orange Theatre, 68 Orange Street, Gardens. Call +27 (0)21 424 5927 or visit www.somethingunknown.com to book.

Tickets cost between R20 and R25.
