The 2010 FIFA World Cup™ final between the Netherlands and Spain will be played on Africa’s biggest screen at the Cape Town FIFA Fan Fest™ on Sunday.
The Netherlands have had a massive following in Cape Town during the tournament so far, and orange is likely to be the dominant colour for the final, both in the stadium and at the FIFA Fan Fest™.
In addition to a sterling football performance anticipated on the day, two of South Africa’s top musical acts, Prime Circle and Flash Republic, will be performing at the FIFA Fan Fest™.
Prime Circle, who have shared the stage with rock legends such as Metallica and Collective Soul, have produced hit albums such as “Hello, Crazy World” and “Live This Life”.
Flash Republic are an upbeat local dance act, comprising some experienced musicians such as DJ Ryan Dent and Afro-pop singer Tamara Dey.
Among Flash Republic’s biggest successes are singles Robot, Emergency, Gave it up for music and their biggest hit to date, Danger.
The FIFA Fan Fest™ can accommodate up to 25 000 people, but once capacity is reached, the area will be closed off. It is therefore advisable to get there as early as possible. Bring a rain jacket and warm clothing to be safe.
