The FIFA Fan Fest™ is the best place to watch today’s 2010 FIFA World Cup™ match between Portugal and North Korea at 13h30. If you aren’t in Cape Town Stadium already, that is.
The FIFA Fan Fest™, which can accommodate around 20 000 people, boasts Africa’s largest screen, of 75m². It will also be the site of a Luso Festa today as Portuguese supporters gather to cheer their team.
At 18h00 Fezeka High School Choir will take the stage. This Gugulethu-based choir, led by their inspirational choir master, Phumi Tsewu, has been crowned national singing champions no less than seven times.
Recently, the choir was the subject of an award-winning documentary, Fezeka’s Voice, which tells the story of how, despite trying personal and financial circumstance, a group of teenagers can reach for their dreams through a combined voice.
As a result of this documentary, aired in 2010, forty of Fezeka’s most talented singers have been invited to perform at the Royal Festival Hall in London, the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff and several other prestigious arts organisations in the United Kingdom. There is a massive fundraiser currently under way to make this possible.
At 19h15 there will be a performance by Gang of Instrumentals, who are best known for their catchy track Woza December.
Below is the schedule for the FIFA Fan Fest™ today.

16h00: Chile vs Switzerland
