Cape Town Carnival 2011 in Long Street on March 19

The Cape Town Carnival takes place in Long Street from 20h00 on Saturday evening.
Festivities will include dancers, musicians, giant puppets and a cavalcade of Harley Davidson motorbikes.
There will be a dedicated “fan jol” area in Green Market Square, featuring food vendors, a themed bar and a big screen to watch the Stormers Super 15 match against the Bulls.
This event was held for the first time last year, when 2 500 people from various communities around Cape Town, combined to put on a dazzling parade.
