Cape Town buildings – A Cape Town Tourism Photo Essay
I am blessed in two respects, one is that I work in one of the most beautiful cities in the world and two, I have access to the 17th floor roof of my office building and am thus able to peer down into the city.
I am not a fan of concrete, but we have a fair mix of the old style buildings mingling with the modern modular styles. St George’s Cathedral is an imposing building, a landmark in the political history of our country.
The yellow building on the left is the Cape Sun hotel, flanked by two of our well-known banks.
I have always found the Bo-Kaap to be of interest. This photograph shows how close it is to the city centre and how much a part of the city it is - colourful and rich in character, particularly when the buildings in the area are compared to the modern structures in the foreground.
