Cape Point ocean spray – Flickr pic of the day
This photograph of men fishing and being sprayed by a crashing wave in the Table Mountain National Park near Cape Point was taken by our Cape Town. Live it. Love it. group member Tara Turkington aka flowcomm.
Tara says, “I spent a day with my family and some friends at Cape Point over the Easter weekend. When I’ve visited Cape Point in the past, I’ve mostly gone up to the old lighthouse and popular viewpoint over the point itself. This time, our friends showed us a beautiful pathway leading to some rock pools in the Paulsberg section of the park, where these people were fishing (though legally, just on the edge of the Paulsberg no-fishing zone). There are many beautiful, little-known places to visit at Cape Point. It’s worth going for a full day and taking a picnic. Next time, I want to visit the wreck of the Thomas T Tucker, which is apparently about a 30-minute walk from the road.”
