Boulders penguin colony – A Cape Town Tourism photo essay

My wife and I took our one-year-old son out to Boulders near Simon’s Town to go and show him the penguins. When we arrived there it started raining, so we decided to go for lunch at a place called Dixies Restaurant and Pub in Simon’s Town.

While we were having lunch the rain cleared so we went back to Boulders where all the penguins were out and about. Our son watched and pointed in amazement at all the penguins that were scattered about. It was a perfect opportunity for me to take some photos.

If you haven’t yet been to Boulders, do yourself a favor and head out there and go look at the penguins. There are no barriers between you and the penguins and you can get quite close to them – but please remember that you are in their home so be nice to them!
