Blackheath Lodge has been named the Best Small Hotel in South Africa and third best in the world in TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice Awards for 2013.
The Victorian-designed hotel on the slopes of Signal Hill has spacious interiors, high ceilings and wooden floors, and is close to popular tourist destinations such as the V&A Waterfront and Clifton beaches.
TripAdvisor, the world's largest online travel forum, canvassed millions of travellers in order to compile the list of awards.
