Billboard at Cape Town International Airport
The Mother City is welcoming the world in style, as anyone who has flown into Cape Town International Airport recently would have seen.
A massive billboard decorates the wall of the arrivals section of the airport.
Cape Town Tourism Marketing Manager Lianne Burton says: “The billboard is part of Cape Town Tourism’s World Cup welcome campaign, but it will remain up for at least a year. It is 175m long and 2.2m high and represents all the iconic attractions of Cape Town, including the city’s colourful rainbow citizens.
“It creates a first impression of the city as a vibrant creative capital, with a message encouraging visitors to ‘Live It! Love It!’ The billboard was designed for Cape Town Tourism by leading Cape Town agency Coley Porter Bell.”
