Big Bay sunset – Cape Town Tourism Flickr pic of the day
Bloubergstrand (meaning “blue mountain beach” in the Afrikaans language) is just what the name suggests – a long, beautiful beach with a mountain view, just perfect for outdoor activities.
Warren says, “I’ve had the Nikon for only a few months but in that time I have discovered an entirely new world which only a DSLR can uncover. It takes you on a journey, awakening your visual senses and capturing a moment in time with the excitement and passion of someone seeing the world for the first time. Now here is the best part: I get to unleash my enthusiasm and enjoyment of photography in probably the most beautiful corner of the African continent. Cape Town has so much to offer, especially if you love photography, whether a beginner or a pro. And the sunsets! Well, this is just the beginning…
“I love Cape Town and have lived here since late 2004. I love travelling and enjoy the outdoors. I’ve been snapping photos for years but my passion was sparked when my wife and I bought the Nikon. My greatest passion, after my wife and son, is storms and photographing them. Being in that raw power is what drives me. Cape Town doesn’t get many storms, but when they do come, I’ll be ready!”
