This photograph of footprints on Big Bay Beach was taken by our Cape Town. Live it. Love it. group member Chester’s Mate.
The photographer says: “The photo was taken on a glorious autumn evening. We were visiting friends in Milnerton and decided to take the dogs for an evening walk, and look for fossilised sharks’ teeth, along the sandy white beaches of Big Bay.
“We parked in Bloubergstrand and walked for a mile north along the wide, empty beach. When we turned to head back to the car, we noticed how the setting sun highlighted the footprints in the sand.
“I stooped to take this shot. Then it was back to Milnerton for a well-earned braai. And we found a whopper of a shark’s tooth!”
