Bieber fever hits Cape Town: supporting acts and additional tickets announced
Fazielah Williams has lived in and loved her Mother City since birth. Having lived all over the Peninsula during her childhood, she now calls the picturesque City Bowl home and likes nothing more than watching the sun set over Table Bay from the window of her apartment.
A lover of the arts and proud Cape Town fanatic, Fazielah began her writing career by spending many hours as a child conjuring fantastical stories that featured independent heroines from faraway lands who saved the Prince instead. This Capetonian princess has enjoyed stints as a magical arts PRO and TV publicist before finding her calling as a travel writer.
When not waxing lyrical about the Fairest Cape’s most loved attractions and activities and embarking on unexpected adventures, Fazielah can usually be found taking in a show at one of the City’s fabulous theatres.
Teen megastar Justin Bieber’s imminent arrival and performance at the Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday 8 May, 2013 is all anyone has been talking about for weeks in the music-loving Mother City … and the chatter is set to get even louder with concert promoter Big Concerts’ announcement that hot local singers LCNVL (Locnville) and ChianoSky will be his supporting acts on the evening.
Capetonian-raised twins Andrew and Brian Chaplin, the Locnville duo, are as prone to induce blood-curdling screams from their ardent adolescent fans as Bieber is since their meteoric rise to fame with their breakout single Sun in My Pocket in 2009. These good-looking boys are currently dominating the charts with their latest hit, Closer.
No stranger to fame, ChianoSky is a five-time MTN South African Music Awards nominee and has been setting the local music scene alight with hits like Sick Sick and Walking Away.
With these three superstar acts on one stage, Capetonian parents and children are in for a night they’ll never forget.
But wait, there’s more …
Are you, like, totally bummed because tickets for the Biebster’s concert were sold out within minutes way back in December 2012, and you missed out on them? Dry those tears, my precious hearts, because Big Concerts has announced that a few, almost-too-good-to-true standing and seated tickets are now on sale.
Allow me to speak above your cheers of excitement, to remind you that you can purchase those precious tickets at the Computicket outlet at Cape Town Tourism’s Burg Street Visitor Information Centre in the City Centre. Tickets cost between R315 and R700. Our friendly staff look forward to helping you secure your tickets for the live concert of the year!
8 May is still a long time away, so indulge your Justin Bieber crush with this video of his hit Beauty and the Beat:
