Beautiful Blouberg – A Cape Town Tourism Flickr photo essay
These images were all taken in and around the Blouberg area. I always marvel at how what we see changes. Seasons, time of day, the weather, your angle, and even your mood – all of those contribute towards how something is viewed.
And yet the basics stay the same – Table Mountain, the beach, the ocean.
When I go on walks along the Blouberg Beach area, I always try to get shots that are not typical. Nature provides us with the most beautiful gifts, and it changes all the time, if you choose to look properly.
This photograph was taken on a particularly cloudy morning. It’s amazing how the colours change, depending on the time of day and the weather.
Alternative ways of getting to the beach! There are so many little paths and walkways.
The ocean holds such tranquillity and peace, yet it can sometimes be viciously stormy and dangerous.
Another path to the sea. I like how you can see the prints in the sand where everyone has walked before.
Memories are made each time the kids play on the beach. Here they can be real children – free to run wild to their hearts’ content, in the beautiful glow of the sunset.
Do you have images of Cape Town you’d like to share with us? We’d love you to join the Cape Town. Live it. Love it. Flickr group!
