Bafana Bafana to challenge Norway at Cape Town Stadium

Cape Town Stadium has certainly seen a lot of action and excitement over the last few years, especially in the sporting arena. It hosted eight football matches during the 2010 FIFA World Cup™, as well as a semi-final, and welcomed football heavyweight Manchester United to its beautifully manicured pitch in July this year.

On January 8, 2013, Cape Town Stadium, in Green Point, will see Bafana Bafana take on Norway – an awesome way to see in the new year, if you ask us.

Fans can look forward to cheering on the boys in this friendly match as they prepare to take part in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. South Africa last faced Norway in 2009, in Phokeng, and won 2-1 – be sure to show your support this time in the Mother City!

Tickets will go on sale on November 20, and will be priced between R50 and R100. Buy yours via Computicket or at your nearest Checkers or Shoprite outlet.

In the build-up to this exciting event, here is what a few fans had to say on Twitter (@CapeTownTourism):

@Rob_Hope – Bafana Bafana vs. Norway... Let's get involved and relive the World Cup!

@Reesiebabygirl – Bafana Bafana set to take on Norway... Yay for CT! I'm definitely going!

@lindseyrayner – Bafana will face Norway at Cape Town Stadium on 8 January! Looking forward to it! #vibe #comeshowyourlove #Capetown

@missnikkidee – I definitely want to watch the Bafana Bafana vs. Norway friendly next year :-)

All we have to say is #GoTeamBafana!
