The 2010 Absa Cape Epic starts in Diemersfontein on Sunday, March 21, and will follow various off-road routes around the Cape for the next week, finishing in Lourensford on March 28.
More than 2 000 competitors will tackle the steep and demanding 800km route, which is divided into eight stages.
Registration takes place at the V&A Waterfront on Saturday, March 20.
Participants must enter in teams of two. Swiss brothers, Lukas and Mathias Flückiger, who won the last stage of the 2009 event, will be back to pick up where they left off.
Lourensford Wine Estate is the place to be next Sunday, with a live performance from South African band Watershed, scheduled for 12h30, to add to the cycling action.
