A typical day in Cape Town – A Cape Town Tourism Photo Essay

Trent (the lad in the photo) was deliberating how big/small Table Mountain looked from Blouberg. He then put his hand out. Now we know that’s that question answered.

Late afternoon at Glencairn Beach. Taking pictures of the then closed line to Simon’s Town. This gentleman stopped on the line and decided it was time to “model up” the photo shoot. Thanks, a job well done. Viva Bafana Bafana!

A wedding party arrived at Long Beach, Kommetjie, for a photo shoot of the bride and groom. While the happy couple where being photographed, the rest of the wedding party thought it was time for a well earned rest and decided to watch proceedings from the comfort of the available beach bench.

Long Beach, Kommetjie. A couple of exhausted newly-weds make their way back to the rest of their wedding party after a hectic photo shoot on the beach. What a amazing looking couple. No shoes required.

Enter our Winter Photo Competition

Cape Town Tourism is calling on all residents and visitors to enter the Winter Photo Competition 2011. We are looking for the best image of people enjoying winter in Cape Town for a first prize of R10 000. Second prize is two nights’ accommodation for two people at the Slangkop Hoerikwaggo Tented Camp, courtesy of South African National Parks.
