A quiet place on Chapman’s Peak – Flickr pic of the day

This beautiful picture of a secluded viewpoint on Chapman’s Peak was taken by our Cape Town. Live it. Love it. group member Sebastian Selzer aka mountainPsy.

Sebastian says, “This is one of the uncountable special places to be found in Cape Town – a secret spot to watch the sunset.

“I took this image a little before sunset on a stunningly calm day while pondering the love of my life. Living in Hout Bay, I spend many afternoons unwinding on Chapman’s Peak Drive, taking photos that capture the mind-blowing beauty and energy that is life,” he continues.

Chapman’s Peak Drive winds its way between Noordhoek and Hout Bay and is touted as one of the most spectacular marine drives in the world.

There are viewpoints en route which are perfect for picnics and sundowners. These appointed rest areas also offer the opportunity to take photographs of the sheer cliffs and breathtaking seascapes.

During whale season, you might be lucky enough see southern right whales in the ocean below.
