A new lease on nightlife in Cape Town
Hannah Deall
Hannah has one of the best jobs at Cape Town Tourism, because it involves hosting media around our amazing City, and uncovering the places and people we have to offer.
She likes to travel light, and spontaneous interactions with the locals are what make a trip interesting for her. She’s been known to rough it, but luxury travel is still Plan A, and with an ever growing bucket list, the wanderlust is abated with regular road trips through the Western Cape.
Having travelled the world far and wide, her top cities include Casablanca, Bangkok and NYC, but her city of choice to live in is Cape Town, with its beautiful people, surroundings and lifestyle. She is known for her love of the theatre, books, beach time, cats and wine.
With December comes a whole lot of partying, as the Mother City celebrates the longer days and warmer nights that summer offers. We can look forward to a few new additions to the night circuit, with more to come, soon, so watch this space.
The Loop Club
Corner of Pepper & Loop Streets
Situated in the bustling and trendy city bowl, The Loop Club is adding to the nightlife to the Long, Loop and Bree Streets area now coined as The Loop thanks to the Name Your Hood initiative. With amazing sound and music direction from Vanessa Holiday, this club will no doubt become a firm favourite.
The Concept
6 Pepper Street, City Centre , Cape Town
The Concept is a nightclub, cocktail and tapas bar, boasting three separate dance floors. It offers three ways to enjoy nightlife in Cape Town in one slick venue. Pascha is the house dance floor, The Mainstay Lounge serves tapas and cocktails and Chrome features an R&B dance floor.
169 on Long
227 Long Street, City Centre, Cape Town
Formerly Cape to Cuba, the newly renovated restaurant maintains the Cuban feel by serving tapas and with the cigar bar downstairs. Fridays feature live jazz during the hours leading up to the late summer sunsets. The restaurant is then transformed into an R&B and hip hop club after dinner on a Friday and Saturday evening. The cocktail bar launched on December 2 and on December 15, the upstairs section will be open.

Keep your ear to the ground, as Tom Kennedy from Don’t Party has taken over Fiction in Long Street and is doing some serious renovations there. This, coupled with his experience on how to party in the Mother City, will ensure that this venue will once again reign as a top spot in Long Street for locals and visitors alike. We will keep you posted.
Club Nisha
Penthouse Suite, The Promenade, Victoria Road, Camps Bay
Recently launched on November 19, Nisha is the new kid on the block on the Camps Bay strip. This clubbing innovation adds some glitz and glam to the beachside nightlife offering in Cape Town, so if you want to hang with the beautiful people, this is where you will find them.
