67 minutes of community cooking for Mandela Day – Photos

With the marking and celebration of Nelson Mandela’s birthday on July 18, the call was made to emulate the global icon’s humanitarian efforts, and give 67 minutes of time in honour of the 67 years of his dedication to social justice. That call was heeded as Capetonians from all walks of life came together at Mandela Rhodes Place on St George’s Mall on Saturday, July 17, for a community cook-off held in aid of the Mother City’s shelters.
