2010 Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon - A Photo Essay

Mabhutile Lebopo from Lesotho won the 41st Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon in 3:06:22. Second place went to Moeketsi Mosuhli and third to Teboho Sello, both also from Lesotho.

Olesya Nurgalieva of Russia won the women’s race in 3:41:53, beating her twin sister, Elena. Elena had won the race three times, and Oleysa also won it two years ago. South African Adina Kruger came in third.
Exhausted at the finish line
Many of the runners found the 56km route exceptionally gruelling, even though the race is called “the world’s most beautiful marathon”.
Leading men run along the challenging Chapman’s Peak Drive
The route took runners along the spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive, through Hout Bay, up Constantia Nek and past Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, to the finish at the University of Cape Town.
