2009 Loerie Awards: how the judging works

The Loerie Awards judge creative excellence in communication media. According to the official Loeries website, the judges look for the following five criteria:

  1. An innovative concept, bringing new and fresh thinking
  2. Excellent execution
  3. Relevance to the brand
  4. Relevance to the target audience
  5. Relevance to the chosen medium

Fulfil these criteria and you might just win an Oscar of the advertising industry – a Loerie Award.

The panel of judges is made up of leaders in various communication media fields. Judging took place from July 13-17 at The Loerie Awards, Vega Campus in Johannesburg, after which the finalists were announced.

All winners will be announced at the Loeries Festival weekend in Cape Town on September 25 and 26.
