Deccan Chargers fans have a lot to cheer about after yesterday’s IPL match at Newlands cricket grounds in Cape Town. Their team beat the Royal Challengers Bangalore by 24 runs after setting them a target of 185.

The Royal Challengers did their best in the closing overs, but had left themselves too much to do and finished on 160-8.

Yesterday’s win puts the Deccan Chargers at the top of the DLF IPL log. Deccan Chargers captain – and man of the match – Adam Gilchrist was very pleased with his team’s performance. “It feels good to have two wins already, which matches what we got last year,” he commented.

The crowd at Newlands was in top form with cricket fans sporting some impressive outfits.
