Sahara Park Newlands rated second best cricket ground in the world!
In a survey of the best cricket grounds in the world, published in the May 2012 issue of The Cricketer magazine, a panel of 40 cricket experts has rated Sahara Park Newlands as the second best cricket ground in the world, after the historic Lords Cricket Ground in London.

Two Oceans Marathon 2012 results: Stephen Muzhingi wins again
Thousands of people braved the rain in Cape Town to watch Stephen Muzhingi of Zimbabwe win the 2012 Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon. This was Muzhingi’s second title and many now predict that he will also win the Comrades Marathon in a few months. Elena Nurgalieva of Russia was the first woman home, claiming her fourth Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon title. Her twin sister, Oleysa, did not compete this year, but second place was still claimed by a Russian, in the form of Natalia Volgina.

Thousands of participants and spectators are set to descend on picturesque Cape Town for the 2012 Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon this Easter weekend, April 6 and 7, 2012. Known as “the world’s most beautiful marathon”, this year’s event will take runners on a scenic tour of the Peninsula, with the Half Marathon set in the Southern Suburbs and the Ultra Marathon along the Chapman’s Peak Route.
